The investors who position sensibly, patiently, and with frameworks strong enough to survive whatever the market becomes.

Lyn’s view is blunt.
The US economy isn’t strong in a broad, evenly distributed way.
Strip out AI and data-center capex, and real GDP goes from four percent to basically zero. The economy has become a two-speed system. AI, cloud, and deficit spending are sprinting. Almost everything else is jogging.
Most sectors look tired. Commercial real estate is still unwinding in slow motion. Residential is pinned under affordability pressure. Private equity and parts of venture capital are frozen. Manufacturing and services aren’t collapsing, but they aren’t expanding either. It’s a soft cycle disguised by one very loud sector.
If you sit in the right corner of the income spectrum, if AI and fiscal flows touch your life, it feels like prosperity. If you’re younger, indebted, or anywhere outside that slice, it feels like trying to swim against a raging, icy current that slowly whispers each failed decision made this year.
Student debt, demographic drag, and healthcare costs consume everything before you ever get started. This is the backdrop for the hyper-gambling we see every day on-chain. If you can’t afford assets and you can’t outrun inflation, you start looking for anything that might break you out of orbit.
Not a steady plan. A jackpot. That’s why so much speculative energy has poured into memecoins instead of new infrastructure. As I wrote in The Jackpot Age, a lot of people aren’t building portfolios. They’re firing escape-velocity shots at a system that feels rigged.
Her view on AI
Lyn frames AI as two things at once: a real technological shift and a bubble layered around it.
Data-center AI is already reshaping white-collar work. It’s the intellectual equivalent of what automation did to factories, and will be worth trillions over time. But wrapped around it is a halo of unprofitable companies burning money to keep the illusion of exponential growth alive. Nvidia and the hyperscalers are the exceptions. However, most of the ecosystem is speculative scaffolding.
Lynn expects a cooling. Not a crash, but a two-to-three-year digestion phase where capex slows, weaker companies disappear, and the category resets before the next ramp.
Liquidity and the Fed
Lyn thinks QT is brushing up against its natural bounds. Bank reserves can’t be drained forever without breaking something.
Her base case is that QT pauses, and sometime in the first half of next year, the balance sheet starts growing again. Slowly. Quietly. Not as a panic-driven QE blast, but as a structural accommodation to fiscal deficits and nominal GDP.
In her words, this is fiscal dominance.
The government sets the spending trajectory, and the central bank eventually has to make room for it.
Lynn’s view on Bitcoin
It has spent the year going nowhere in price, but Lynn believes that’s not weakness; it’s just what a maturing monetary asset looks like.
ETF inflows have been steady, but long-term holders have been using the opportunity to de-risk, absorbing the buy pressure. Retail hasn’t returned. The halving matters less. Liquidity matters more. Her base case: consolidation into early 2025, then higher highs in 2026 when liquidity turns.
Lyn also touches on a slow-burning risk the industry still treats like science fiction: quantum computing and AI-powered chain analysis.
Both chip away at the long-term safety of transparent blockchains. Old Bitcoin outputs with exposed public keys are the weak seam. If you assume Bitcoin is meant to last decades, not years, then cryptographic durability becomes an existential question at some point…
As she puts it, Bitcoin can migrate to quantum-resistant signatures, “but it introduces disruption risks for a decentralized system.”
The macro is narrowing. Bitcoin is settling into its adult form. Crypto has run out of new primitives, and the world around us is getting more transparent, more trackable, and more analyzable by machines every year.

Mert on privacy, ZK, and the forgotten pillar of crypto

Mert opens with a point the early cypherpunks never forgot. Privacy wasn’t an optional feature of crypto; It was a foundational assumption. Yet almost every major chain abandoned it in exchange for convenience and composability.
The result: an ecosystem built on permanent glass. Balances, flows, behaviours — all exposed, forever.
Zcash took the opposite route. It kept Bitcoin’s monetary structure but replaced transparency with encryption. Zero-knowledge proofs conceal sender, receiver, and amount. There is nothing to deanonymise, and this is why Mert believes it has the strongest quantum-resilient profile of any live L1 today.
It’s also why serious people are paying attention again. Naval. Ferriss. Barry Silbert. Chris Burniske. Mert states that it isn’t hype, it’s recognition that crypto built trillions of value on the assumption that nobody would ever be able to analyse everything. AI is dissolving that assumption in real time.
Shielded transactions, once slow and cumbersome, now run smoothly on mobile through Zashi. Cross-chain shielding is becoming normal, and the whole Zcash Thesis is starting to look less like a niche experiment and more like a missing primitive finally slotting into place.
In a world where money is on chain, where wallets function as identity, where AI can map flows instantly, privacy becomes a macro hedge. It protects users. It preserves fungibility. It reduces attack surfaces. It is not a nice-to-have; It is necessary for the long-term health of the system.

Put the pieces together, and the outline is pretty simple.
The macro is narrowing. Bitcoin is growing into its role. Crypto’s old story engines are out of fuel. And full transparency, which once felt like a flex, is starting to look like a liability in a world built for surveillance and pattern-recognition.
If the last decade was about proving that digital bearer assets can exist, the next decade is about proving they can stay safe. Not just from bugs or bad token design, but from AI scraping every trace, from quantum attacks on old keys, and from the basic reality that permanent visibility and permanent adversaries do not mix well.
That is why privacy feels less like a niche preference and more like the next serious narrative. Not cosmetic obfuscation, but actual encryption. Systems that treat secrecy the way Bitcoin treated scarcity.
On that axis, Zcash sits in an interesting spot. It already mirrors Bitcoin’s monetary template, it already uses zero-knowledge proofs at the base layer, and it is one of the few chains that has taken quantum risk seriously in how it is built rather than as a slide for later.
None of this is guaranteed to “win.” Narratives only become real when builders, capital, and users show up at the same time. But if value keeps moving on chain, and if quantum computing really does arrive on a 10–30 year horizon, it is hard to sketch a future where private digital money is not part of the core stack.
If everything goes on chain, why wouldn’t privacy go with it?
